US high density polyethylene prices were talked firmer this week, with sources noting that cheaper railcar prices for export resin had been bought up and most sellers were now seeking prices 1-2 cents/lb higher. Still, sources said, US HDPE prices were more competitive into Latin America and with buy interest there showing signs of improving, there was a window to get deals done.
