US monoethylene glycol increased on the week with supply tightening on turnarounds and a force majeure and with strengthening feedstocks. Spot was assessed Friday at 33 cents/ lb ($727.50/mt) FOB USG, up 1.25 cents on the week. Spot pricing in China has seen significant declines, but Europe and Latin America have emerged as export destinations with firmer pricing in Europe and stronger demand in Mexico due to a turnaround there.
