High-density polyethylene import assessments in Latin America were stable to stronger this week as the US offers to the West Coast of South America trended higher while activity slowed in Brazil because of Carnaval. In Peru, the injection assessment rose $30/mt to $1,320-$1,330/mt, film rose $20/mt to $1,310-$1,320/mt and blowmolding was stable at $1,290-$1,300/mt, based on a deal for US product heard at $1,300/mt and an offer for Asian material at $1,300/mt.
