Asian high density polyethylene film prices fell week on week, as healthy supply and low plastic consumption continued to limit demand. Naphtha-fed steam crackers were also heard to be running at high rates as the naphtha/HDPE spread was above $600/mt, sources said. Most of HDPE applications in film, personal care containers, raffia were consumer led, which demand had been poor in bearish macroeconomics in 2015, sources said.
