CFR China acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed up $30/mt week on week at $1,600/mt, tracking rising feedstock styrene monomer prices. Asian SM was up $9/mt day on day to $1,153/mt FOB Korea and $1,177/mt CFR China Wednesday, driven by firmer domestic prices in China. Week on week, CFR China SM rose $22/mt. ABS demand from main end-users, those who are making refrigerators and air conditioners, has not recovered fully as yet, though rising SM costs supported ABS offers from major sellers, a trader based in China said.
