The Asian butadiene market rose $10/mt from the previous week to be assessed at $680/mt CFR China and $650/mt FOB Korea Friday. Inquiries were heard from China this week as buyers sought spot cargoes ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays next week. The Asian butadiene market was also lifted by firmer Western crude futures. Frontmonth April ICE Brent futures were at $60.41/barrel at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) Friday, up $2.02/b from a week earlier.
