European high density polyethylene injection spot prices rose Eur20/mt on the week to Eur1,420/mt. Blow molding and film grades both rose Eur20/mt and Eur40/mt to Eur1,400/mt and Eur1,420/mt, respectively. The market continued to be reported at the hands of sellers as demand outweighed supply, trade sources said. “HDPE especially injection is a tight market, some suppliers are in need,” a trade source said. Film had been heard the tightest of all HDPE grades last week and this had been reflected in the increase of prices this week.
