US monoethylene glycol prices were assessed Friday at 43.50-44.50 cents/lb FOB USG, up 1 cent week on week as market sources said tightness in supply had prices trending upwards. Sources said there continued to be some disconnect between North American and China prices, to the dismay of some buyers, who were heard bidding in the 41-42 cents/lb range. Market sources pegged truck prices in the Midwest around 49-50 cents/lb for trucks.
