US monoethylene glycol prices were assessed Friday at 43.5-44.5 cents/lb FOB USG, up a half-cent week on week as multiple sources said the market had shown signs of firming this week. With US and Asian producers both announcing increases in July, there were continued expectations that US spot prices would eventually rise to meet the 2-3 cents/lb hikes.
