Asian high density polyethylene prices fall across the board this week amid weak buying. HDPE-film assessed at $1,420/ mt CFR Far East Asia Wednesday, down $5/mt week on week, at $1,450/mt CFR Southeast Asia, down $30/mt, and at $1,475/mt CFR South Asia, down $40/mt. A Taiwanese trader was heard offering April cargoes at $1,450/mt FOB Taiwan, while other offers in the market were heard in the range of $1,430-1,450/mt CFR China, with letter of credit negotiable. Deals were heard this week at $1,420-1,430/ mt CFR China, with L/C 90 days. Iranian material was heard offered at $1,390/mt CFR China. This was not used in the assessment process due to its sanctioned nature.
