Butadiene prices sank to a four-month low Thursday as Chinese demand faded and sellers sought to clear prompt cargoes. The FOB Korea benchmark stood at $1,470/mt, down $80/mt from last Friday. Prices will not be assessed this Friday due to a public holiday in Singapore. The last time the benchmark was at $1,470/mt was November 30, 2012. Traders said buying ideas from Chinese endusers were as low as $1,400/mt CFR China as local prices fell sharply during the week.
