European monoethylene glycol could see a “double settlement” for September-October contract prices, where an initial settlement for October concludes the September settlement, industry sources said Friday. The initial September contract price settlement, at Eur1,038/mt ($1,411/mt) FD NWE, up Eur48/mt from August, between BASF as a seller and Arteco as a buyer, had still not found support from the market. A contract price is said to be fully settled when it is settled by two sets of independent buyers and sellers.
