North African prices remained firm this week on the back of a falling dollar while sellers' positions continued to be solid amid balanced supply conditions, according to sources. "Producers selling into North Africa are still bullish because supply is not excessive," a source said, adding that fresh LDPE business was above $1,500/mt CFR. Sources said LLDPE supplies had driven prices down slightly as some offers were heard at $1,450/mt CFR. Meanwhile, HDPE remained offered above $1,500/mt CFR. "Although the North African market is well supplied, elevated prices in Europe have pulled up prices," another source said.
