MOL to buy Eni’s stake in Czech refiner

Budapest—MOL has agreed to buy a minority stake in Czech refiner Ceska Rafinerska and fuels units in Slovakia and Romania from Italy’s Eni as the Hungarian company looks to expand its downstream footprint in eastern Europe. MOL said it will buy a 32.44% stake in Ceska Rafinerska which operates the country’s two refineries—the 68,000 b/d Kralupy refinery and the 110,000 b/d Litvinov plant. Under a separate deal MOL picked up Eni’s retail fuel units in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania including more than 200 pumps.
