GeoPark makes light oil find in Chile

Rio de Janeiro—South American independent oil producer GeoPark Limited opened a new exploration frontier for the firm in Chile’s Tierra del Fuego region, discovering light oil in the recently acquired Campanario block, GeoPark said Tuesday. The Santiago, Chile-based company said the discovery was made via the Primavera Sur 1 well in the Campanario block. GeoPark operates the block with a 50% stake in partnership with Chile’s ENAP.
