Houston—The estimated production margin for a typical US Midwest dry-mill ethanol plant for the week ending Friday soared 51.08 cents week on week, or 32.41%, to $2.0871/ gal, the highest since Platts records began, a review of US Department of Agriculture and Platts data showed. Platts began recording this margin on September 17, 2010. The prior week’s margin was the previous high.
