Gazprom starts own gas production at Achimov

Moscow-Russia's Gazprom has started its first independent natural gas production from the technically challenging Achimov formations at its Urengoy gas field in West Siberia, the company said October 30, with output expected to reach 3.5 billion cubic meters/year once the project hits design capacity.
