London-Austria's OMV saw its oil and gas production rise by just 1,000 b/d of oil equivalent in the third quarter of 2009 to 317,000 boe/d compared with the same period last year, the company said October 20. In a trading statement, the company said output was boosted by a strongly performing Maari oil field in New Zealand, but continuing output restraints in OPEC member state Libya "remain a burden on production."
