TNK-BP starts work on Kovykta gas pipeline

Moscow-The troubled project to develop the giant Kovykta gas field in East Siberia took a step forward September 20 as the East Siberian Gas Company, a joint venture between TNK-BP and the Irkutsk regional government, said work had begun on the construction of a 645 km pipeline from the field to the town of Irkutsk to supply local consumers.
