London-Italian oil major Eni saw its thirdquarter 2006 adjusted earnings rise by 7.1% to Eur2.62 billion (3.33 billion), beating most analysts' expectations, helped by strong performance across all its business divisions, Eni said November 10. The company, Italy's biggest by market capitalization, confirmed a forecast of 3% growth in its oil and gas production for the year, which would bring output to some 1.79 million b/d of oil equivalent, assuming a Brent price of 55/barrel.
