New York-October crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange jumped 5.62 to settle at 121.18/barrel August 21 in a complex-wide rally that was spurred by a 90-point drop in the dollar index and resurgent products markets.Middle distillates continued to pace the oil complex.NYMEX September heating oil settled 13.71 cents higher at 3.3006/gal,or up 5.76/b.September gasoil futures on ICE settled 65.50/mt higher at l,069.5/mt,or up 8.73/b,a gain of 21.27 cents/gal.
