The outright price of open-spec naphtha hit a historical high Monday in Northwest Europe, assessed at 888.25/mt and surpassing the prior record of 886.25/mt set on March 10,2008.The vault was largely driven by surging crude oil values;end-user demand in the region still remained lackluster, with a bearish undercurrent to demand exacerbated by a high flat price that was "unlikely to spur any buying interest," said a source.
