China's Zhejiang Satellite Commissions Propylene Unit with UOP Technology

Pinshu City— China's Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical Co. has commissioned the first of 14 planned Chinese propylene units based on UOP's technology. Zhejiang Satellite, formerly known as Zhejiang Julong Petrochemical Co., has the capacity to produce 450,000 t/y of propylene from propane in Pinghu City, using UOP C3 Oleflex process technology. UOP noted the company is currently producing high-quality, on-spec propylene for acrvlic acid and derivative Droduction.
