Axiall Returns to Full Operating Rates At Lake Charles VCM Production Unit

Atlanta-Axiall Corp. said it has completed repairs on its Lake Charles, La., vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) manufacturing facility and has resumed production at "full operating rates." The facility, damaged in a 20 Dec. 2013 fire, was returned to service at reduced operating rates during the first quarter of this year with the expectation that the plant would resume full operations during the second quarter (PCN, 28 Apr 2014, p 3).
