UOP Technologies Selected by Lijin For Shandong Isobutylene Project

Des Plaines—UOP announced that its technologies have been selected by Lijin Petrochemical Plant Co. for an isobutylene project to be built in China's Shandong Province. Lijin Petrochemical, a subsidiary of the Lihue Group, will use UOP's Butamer process to convert normal butane into isobutane and UOP's C4 Oleflex technology for the production of 170,000 t/y of isobutylene.
