KBR Awarded EPC Contracts from Agrium To Boost Urea/Ammonia Capacity in Texas

Borger— KBR has received two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts from Agrium to expand urea and ammonia production capacity at Agrium's Borger, Texas, facility (PCN, 3 Mar 2014, p 3). The project includes construction of a new urea plant with a capacity of about 670,000 t/y and increasing ammonia capacity to 700,000 t/y from 490,000 t/y currently. Construction is planned to begin this month, with completion scheduled for the second half of 2015. The value of KBR's contracts was not disclosed.
