Firms to Supply Chevron LNG Plant

Japanese utility Tokyo Electric Power Co. (Tepco) has joined forces with Japanese trader Mitsubishi Corp. and shipping firm Nippon Yusen to acquire a 10% interest in the gas fields associated with the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG project offshore Western Australia, as well as an 8% interest in the onshore gas processing facilities (OD May17’12).
