The chief executive of Alange Energy, a Canada-based oil and gas producer with operations in Colombia, has stepped down after the firm incorrectly reported production figures. Luis Giusti a former president of Petroleos de Venezuela resigned last week from his executive role, although he will continue to sit on the board as Alange searches for a new permanent CEO. Gregg Vernon, the firm's interim chief operating officer, will assume Giusti's role in the meantime.
