Kazakh alumina producer lifts output

Kazakh alumina refiner Aluminium of Kazakhstan has increased its first-quarter production to approximately 350,000 tonnes, a year-on-year rise of almost 50,000 tonnes, its owner has disclosed. J&W Investment Group increased its shareholding in Aluminium of Kazakhstan when it purchased a 31.8 percent stake in the company through its Swiss-based subsidiary Corica AG last week.
