VAI Pomini wins China bar mill order

VAI Pomini, a joint venture between Techint of Italy and Voest-Alpine Industrienlagenbau (VAI) of Austria, has been awarded a new order from China's Minmetals for the supply of a new bar mill. the plant, which will be installed at the Tianjin premises of Tianjin Tiantie Zhaer Steel Production Co, a privately owned bar mill equipped with steelmaking capability, will produce more than 700,000 tpy of plain rounds in the range of 14-50 mm diameter, rebar from 12-40mm and squares from 16-45mm.
