Back to packaging again this month as we hear about the first companies to suffer food hygiene problems as a result of reducing the quality and quantity of packaging: I hasten to add, not in this country. The British food industry has spent over 150 years making sure that food was made to very high standards to make it totally safe to eat. The quality and safety of foods produced in our factories are the envy of the world.
