India: Phosphate rock imports down 16% in Q1

India imported 1.7 million mt phosphate rock in the first quarter 2016, a decrease from 2.0 million mt in the same period 2015, according to new GTIS data. During the three-month period, imports from Jordan declined slightly to 809,000 mt from 816,000 mt, imports from OCP declined to 300,000 mt from 327,000 mt, imports from Egypt declined to 323,000 mt from 457,000 mt and imports from Algeria declined to 50,000 mt from 63,000 mt previously.
