As reported in the February 28 Market Alert, there was no announcement of any major policy change for the fertilizer sector from Finance Minister Arun Jaitlay in the first full budget under the new Modi administration. The government will continue to focus on a long-term growth plan in line with its recent initiatives including the direct transfer of benefits to the end user, the "clean India" campaign and tax reforms.
