Distributors report some ammonia suppliers have reversed their stances in recent days, indicating they are willing to accept slightly lower prices for ammonia compared to just a week ago. Sellers are offering $5-10/st concessions down to $605-615/st FOB Midwest for prompt purchases but not spring loading. While the new quotes for prompt tons are only modestly lower from prior levels, retailers have to be pleased since producers were threatenting up to $20/st increases for March just a couple of weeks ago.
