PetroVietnam added a further 5,000 mt to its prior purchases from Summit via a deal with a trader for Uzbekistan urea at $520/mt CFR to be delivered containers. The September 5 PetroVietnam tender for 20- 25,000 mt prills has attracted significant interest. Traders have been checking freight from sources as far away as the Black Sea, but the business would appear a natural for Chinese product. Freight from China in the mid-$20s/mt is about $40/mt below freight indications from the Black Sea.
