JGC bags Petronas LNG deal

Japan’s JGC Corp has been awarded a US $510m contract by Malaysia’s state-owed Petronas for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) work as part of the expansion of Petronas’ LNG Complex (PLC) in Bintulu, Sarawak, East Malaysia. The contract workload includes EPCC work associated with the expansion of LNG storage and shipping facilities at the PLC, which is one of the world’s largest LNG production facilities and currently has eight production trains with a combined capacity of 25.7m tons per annum.
