BG sells CATS pipeline

BG Group has agreed to sell its majority stake in the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) gas pipeline in the UK North Sea and associated infra- structure to Antin Infrastructure Partners for US $954m. CATS comprises a fixed-riser platform linked to the Everest oil and gas platform, a 404km, 47.6 MMcm/d (1.7 Bcf/d) capacity subsea pipeline and a two-train onshore gas processing terminal at Teesside which has capacity of 33.6 MMcm/d (1.2 Bcf/d).
