Centrica buys into UK shale

Centrica has acquired a 25% stake in the Bowland exploration licence (PEDL165) in Lancashire, England from Cuadrilla Resources and AJ Lucas for US $62.5m in cash. Centrica will also pay exploration and appraisal costs of up to $93.8m.
