Weatherford sees record Q2

Oil field services provider Weatherford saw second quarter 2011 net income of US $110m. The company said international markets drove the entire sequential improvement in both revenue and profitability. Second quarter revenues of $3.05 Bn were the highest in the company’s history. For the Europe/ West Africa/FSU segment, second quarter revenues of $592m were 17% higher than the second quarter of 2010 and 16% higher than the prior quarter.
