China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) unit China Offshore Oil Engineering Corp. (COOEC) is thought to have chosen French Technip as its partner to perform front-end engineering and design (Feed) studies on the first two tension leg platforms (TLPs) in the South China Sea. COOEC recommended Technip to field operator CNOOC Ltd. after being notified that the Feed contract award was imminent for the two TLPs at the Liuhua 11-1 and 16-2 oil and gas fields, project sources said.
