China will increase the storage capacity for the second-phase expansion of its strategic petroleum reserves (SPR) program to 32.9 million cubic meters, which would allow the country to store almost 210 million barrels of crude -- 24% higher than initially planned -- according to a report by state China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) obtained by International Oil Daily.
