Shell Halts Forcados

Royal Dutch Shell declared force ma-jeure on its Nigerian Forcados crude oil ex-ports on Monday due to a sabotage attackon a major pipeline.“The Shell Petroleum Development Com-pany of Nigeria Ltd. (SPDC) has declaredforce majeure on its Forcados export pro-gramme for October, November and Decem-ber 2011 as a result of production shutdowndue to a sabotage leak on Trans ForcadosPipeline. The declaration took effect fromnoon today,” the company said in a statement.
