The market in the east remains weak with slow demand from industrial buyers in East Asia, and increasing pressure from Indian buyers for lower-priced ammonia following the agree- ment of a $40/t increase for new phosphoric acid contracts between OCP and its Indian customers for 1H 2015. Marubeni this week has sold a 5-6,000t cargo to CIL, India at $430/t cfr. The cargo will load from Chittagong, Bangla- desh in the coming days on the Gaschem Stade for delivery to Kakinada around 5 April. Meanwhile, in the CJ tender for 6,000t for end April/early May delivery it is understood that Mitsui has been awarded the business at $465/t cfr, although this has not been confrmed by Mitsui.
