20 innovations from BASF showcase contribution of chemistry to sustainability and improved quality of life

BASF's "We create chemistry" world tour made its South Asia debut in Mumbai in the second week of January. The tour, which kicked off in Mannheim, Germany, in January 2012 and will continue until mid-2013, showcases some of the company's leading innovations for a sustainable future. These product and solutions address the challenges arising from global megatrends like population growth, urbanisation, energy savings and climate protection. These innovations are focussed on improving sustainability in terms of operations at lower temperatures, use of renewable feedstocks and energy sources, conservation and judicious use of finite resources like water and fossil fuels and lowering overall production costs.
