The results of scanning electron microscopy investigation of the surface of three-dimensional capillarvporous (TCP) coatings consisting of ridges and hollows are presented. Surface porosity of TCP coatings is as great as 30-43percent, the pore size is changing from 0.6 to 600 #mu#m on the surface and from 0.005 to 42 #mu#m within the ridges. The presence of large pores in TCP coatings does not decrease their cohesive strength. These coatings may be prospective for intrabone implants. The coatings are formed from the wide number of materials used for spraying.
