摘要

Cu - Mg base alloy which has excellent spring limit, stress relaxation resistance and high electricalconductivity is one of the suitable alloy for connectors used at elevated temperature in automobileengine. However its casting in atmosphere is very difficult because of oxidation of Mg. By Fe - Pprecipitation hardening, reduction of Mg content in Cu - Mg base alloy is investigated. Results show neary half of Mg content is sufficient for Cu - Fe - P base alloy to give equivalentstress relaxation resistance and mechanical properties to Cu - Mg base alloy. Developed alloy Cu - 0.1 % Fe -0.03 % P -0.35 % Mg - 0.4 % Zn - 0.2 % Sn is suitable forconnectors demanded high stress relaxation resistance.
