The electron accelerator has become widely used for both scientific research and industrial use. Especially, the low energy electron accelerator has great potential to contribute to industrial processes such as electron beam sterilization andnon-destructive inspection (NDI). IHI has developed electron accelerator equipment for use in various fields. The electron linac, up to 10 MeV, has been developed for sterilization and NDI. Various types of electron beam gun together with the power supply equipment have also been developed for application to scientific areas. Two types of linac and some accelerator equipment are described.
