DENMARK SELECTS LIGHTNING II: F-35A CHOSEN AS F-16 SUCCESSOR

THE DANISH GOVERNMENT has officially, recommended the F-35 Lightning II as its new fighter to replace the F-16 Fighting Falcon. A recommendation calling for the purchase of 27 F-35A Lightning IIs was announced on May 12 by the Danish Prime Minister and the Defense Minister. The value of the acquisition is likely to be around $3.06 billion.
