摘要

This article predicts the vibrostability of a multidimensional dynamic machine tool-workpiece-tool system in the course of the planning-designing process. Mathematical models of both the machine tool and the cutting process were built according to the principles presented in Part I. The analysis involves a vertical lathe model made out of rigid finite elements. For the chosen variant of cutting, the graphs of absolute values of the vibrostability limit are determined from two different models of the cutting process. A computer-animated film, generated in the course of the analytical work, displays the machine vibration at the vibration stability limit. Also presented is how particular machine elements participate in the vibration of the tool and the workpiece. The analysis allows the authors to indicate a weak (for the sake of the vibrostability) point within the mass-damping-spring system of the machine.
