Betek Boya ve Kimya Sanayi AS, whose name is the combination of the first syllables of the Turkish words "Beton" (meaning "concrete") and "Teknoloji" (meaning "technology"), was founded in 1988. Betek entered the decorative paints industry in 1993 through its technological cooperation with DAW. This partnership became a milestone both for Betek and the Turkish paint industry.
